The official opening ceremony of the CHIO Aachen took place on September 14, 2021 at the Aachen Soers with the popular “Media Night”.  At the invitation of co-host Dr.  Hermann Bühlbecker, many well-known personalities from the media, politics and sport took advantage of the glamorous gala to not only celebrate the start of the World Equestrian Festival, but also to meet old and new acquaintances after a year of break due to the pandemic.

As the initiator of the get-together, the Lambertz sole owner was of course on site and, alongside ALRV President Stefanie Peters, welcomed celebrities such as Olympic fencing champion Britta Heidemann, influencer Joe Laschet, presenter Biggi Lechtermann, journalist Klaus Bresser, science journalist Jean Pütz  Former German soccer player Uli Stein, presenter Annica Hansen, politician Hendrik Wüst, athlete Felix Streng, composer Helmut Zerlett, former German high jumper and two-time Olympic champion Ulrike Nasse-Meyfarth, comedian Tom Gerhardt, dressage rider Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and singer Dunja Rajter are welcome.

After the welcome on the red carpet and dinner, we went to the stadium to marvel at the show, which focused on this year's partner country Japan and German stud farms. The guests then met again in the Champions' Circle to end the evening.
