On 8 February the awarding of the "WIDER DEN TIERISCHEN ERNST" order took place in Aachen. The order of knights is awarded every year by the Aachen Carnival Association and honours people who combine humour and humanity in office. This year NRW's Minister President Armin Laschet was delighted to receive the award. Exactly 70 years after James A. Dugdale was first awarded the prize, he accepted the award at the Aachen Eurogress and gave a glorious speech.

Among the 1250 enthusiastic guests was also Dr. Hermann Bühlbecker. Since Armin Laschet and his son Johannes Laschet are popular guests at the Lambertz "Monday Night", the owner of Lambertz congratulated them personally. Mr Laschet enjoyed the celebrations with other guests such as Ornella Muti, Marie-Luise Marjan and Isabel Pfeiffer-Poensgen, Minister for Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia, which Lambertz enthusiastically sponsers. Julia Klöckner, Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, is the holder of the order from last year and was also a guest.
