amfAR

Lambertz actively and continuously supports the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) and its charity auctions around the world.

Dr. Hermann Bühlbecker has been a member of the benefit committee for over ten years. The committee organizes many of the amfAR events, including the „Cinema Against AIDS“ gala on the occasion of the Cannes Film Festival.
                

Founded in 1985, amfAR fights the worldwide AIDS epidemic by means of innovative research. Since its inception, the organization has collected several hundred million Dollars, giving it to more than 2000 scientific research groups.

Many celebrities from different public spheres, like Liz Taylor, Sharon Stone or George Clooney, support the amfAR organization. Also, their shared commitment with Dr. Bühlbecker has grown into long-lasting friendships.

Elton John AIDS Foundation

Since 2005, Dr. Hermann Bühlbecker has been a supporter of the foundation. As a highlight each year, the “White Tie & Tiara Ball“ is held at Elton John’s estate. The proceeds from this event amounted to several million dollars, aiding programs against AIDS in 20 countries across the globe. Surprising the over 650 guests with a giant cake every year, is something Lambertz would not want to miss.

Cinema for Peace 2009

The annual “Cinema for Peace Award“ in Berlin is a showcase for film professionals from all over the world and their dedication to peace and tolerance.              

Dr. Bühlbecker has been a committee member, co-chair, and sponsor of Cinema for Peace for many years. At the event, influential figures from politics, business, and culture champion the cause of a more peaceful and humane world.

CIES Food World Summit

At the annual CIES summit, which is held in a different country every year, top representatives of the global food trade meet in order to discuss strategy concepts and developments associated with social and societal responsibilities of companies. Traditionally, the “Deutschsprachige Abend“ (German-speaking evening) is a highlight that has been initiated by Lambertz. Each year, Dr. Bühlbecker invites business leaders from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland to the event for an exchange of ideas and experiences.
